questions.
The group has been comitted to the following tasks:
- Exchange of ideas between herpetologists within the DGHT and
to external taxonomists.
- Further development and continuous updating of the (EMBL)
Reptile Database.
- Publication of checklists of selected taxonomic groups.
- Creation of keys.
- Presentation of new herpetological taxa to members of the DGHT
in their journal "Elaphe"
- Organization of meetings on methods and problems in
herpetological taxonomy, e.g. as part of the annual meetings of
the DGHT.
- Improvement of public relations issues concerning
herpetological collections in museums.
